The overall goal of the preschool program is to provide experiences that promote the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of young children in a Christian environment.
We do this through:
Show and tell, finger plays, creative dramatics, stories, and games
Games, exercises, outside play, swimming, manipulatives, and art activities
Positive reinforcements, enthusiasm for achievements of all kinds, and encouraging trying
Music, art, language activities, and creative dramatics
Sandbox play, water play, imitation of real life activities such as housekeeping, being community helpers, working in a grocery store, restaurant, farm, fire station, post office, doctors office, etc., taking field trips, and doing science experiments with paint, water, magnifying glasses, and magnets
Encouraging politeness, kindness, generosity, recognizing God as our creator and helpmate through prayer (spontaneous and formal), Bible stories, celebration of holidays of the church, and by example

Curriculum Goals:
To enhance and reinforce the development of expressive and receptive language through show and tell, finger plays, creative dramatics, stories, and games.
To enhance the development of gross and fine motor skills through games, exercises, outside play, swimming, manipulatives, and art activities.
To enhance positive self-concept, self-reliance, and motivation for learning through positive reinforcements, enthusiasm for achievements of all kinds, and encouraging trying.
To foster creativity and expansion of ideas through music, art, language activities, and creative dramatics.
To provide active learning experiences that develop competencies in acquiring concepts and enhance thinking through sandbox play, water play, imitation of real life activities such as housekeeping, being community helpers, working in a grocery store, restaurant, farm, fire station, post office, doctors office, etc., taking field trips, and doing science experiments with paint, water, magnifying glasses, and magnets.
To ensure a safe and developmentally appropriate environment with appropriate equipment, toys, furniture, and materials with emphasis on cleanliness of body, mind, and environment, rules for conduct within the room and on the playground or yard, and discussions centering around safety at home and in the car.
