Mentoring Program
Attending a new school can always raise a little anxiety, not to mention questions about the ‘way things work’. The mentoring program is designed to enhance communication between our newest families and the VME community. When a new family registers at Villa Maria Elementary, we will introduce them to a mentor family. These mentor parents will be available to help the new family through the business of starting at a new school or to simply be a friendly ear for their concerns or questions. When school starts the new children will also recognize some familiar faces in the halls after meeting the students from the mentoring family.
During the summer, a back to school picnic is hosted on campus. As a new family, this may be your first introduction to many of our faculty and parents. By the time of the picnic, you should have received a call from your mentor and will hopefully be ready to begin your future as a member of the Villa Family.
The teaching staff and administration is, of course, available to talk to you and listen to your concerns or questions. Feel free to contact them via their email or by leaving a voice message for them.
