Tuition Assistance / Financial Aid
Villa families may be eligible for tuition assistance based on need through:
1. STAR tuition aid through Diocese
2. Villa Maria Elementary Scholarship Fund
3. Private donation
4. Parish Assistance
5. Bridge Foundation / Bravo
6. Children’s Scholarship Fund
7. GECAC (April 1 deadline)
Financial Aid deadline for both the STAR Diocesan aid form and Villa Maria Elementary financial aid form is March 31.
Parish Assistance
It is necessary to notify Villa if you wish to request parish assistance. Some parishes in the Erie area that do not have an elementary school will assist parents with tuition if the parents are active members of the parish. In recent years, some parishes have contributed $450 for each child in Preschool through Grade 8.
• Tuition assistance is awarded on a non-discriminatory basis.
• Tuition assistance is not awarded to students for athletic or academic purposes.
• Tuition assistance application forms are ranked in priority according to the level of financial need of the student.
$56,880 was allocated to 96 children of the VME student body for the 2009/2010 school year.
Tuition rates for the upcoming school year will be announced in the spring of the current year.
Families are encouraged to speak to the principal regarding special financial needs.
