Welcome and thank you for your interest in Villa Maria Elementary School which has served the Erie area for over 117 years. We are a private Catholic school founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1892 to be an inclusive, religious educational institution where God is at the center of all we do and believe. We welcome students of all faiths. We celebrate our diversity. I know you will enjoy learning about our school and the many opportunities available here for you and your children.

Many parents volunteer countless hours to partner with the SSJ’s to help provide the outstanding education, the arts, the athletics, the environment, the values that make Villa the wonderful learning institution that it is today.

The faculty and staff are dedicated individuals committed to the development of each child according to his/her God given talents. We are continually proud of our accomplished graduates as we watch them lead in academics, sports and service in high school.

Our website provides an abundance of information about our school and school community. However, there is no substitute for meeting with our faculty and students while touring our facility. We would also encourage a shadowing day for your child.
