Villa Maria Elementary School

“From the athletics, to the band, to academics, what I see is that the students are the top priority-everyone’s main concern. It’s not about winning or proving ‘we’re the best’ it’s about the kids and making sure they achieve their personal best and have a good experience working towards that. The spirit at Villa is for all the kids and their positive growth.”

Margueritta Estes - VME Parent of Erin 2008, Nate 2009, Amy 2011 and David 2015

“While I was a student here, VME provided a safe and caring environment, a sense of belonging, and the opportunities to build relationships that I do not believe I would have had anywhere else. As a teacher at VME, I continue to see the mission of the SSJ present in the school community. Students are encouraged to use their gifts and talents to excel in all subject areas. VME helps to prepare students academically and spiritually for a bright and promising future. It is hard to compare VME’s well-rounded educational experience to any other school. There is so much to be said about the “The Villa Difference”. It is truly a one-of-a-kind experience!”

Katelyn Kurpiewski - VME Music Teacher, VME 1998, VMA 2002, Mercyhurst College 2006, Boston University (2011)

“I believe that Villa Elementary was central to my growth as a child/adult. The morals and principals that were instilled in me then, are still prevalent in my everyday life experiences. Gratitude goes to the teachers and administrators at VME who have helped me reach this point in my life.”

Geoff Lim - VME 2002, Prep 2006 , Allegheny College 2010, Drexel University Medical School

“I feel that Villa provided me with a solid base upon which to build my education. With great teachers who were willing to help me grow in knowledge and in faith in a fun and friendly atmosphere. I was ready for all the challenges that high school brought and now in college I have the confidence to tackle whatever comes my way.”

Eileen Borczon - VME 2006, MPS 2010, Xavier University 2014

“To me the ‘Villa Difference’ is having specials like swimming, gym, music, computer, library and health. I really like our no-cuts policy for all our sports. We have band, Quiz Bowl, Earth Force, Scouts, Student Council and Villa Volunteers. Most of all, Villa has kind teachers who care and a great principal, devoted parents and nice students. Villa Maria Elementary School isn’t just a school, it’s a friendly environment. Villa Cares!”

Emma Shimek - VME Student 2011

“Villa is a wonderful school! We are different because we have a huge pool and a wonderful backyard. We have a big cafeteria and the coolest thing is we have big buddies and little buddies. We have sports like tennis and swimming, and we also have theater.”
