Wow! What a showing Villa had at the Regional Meet of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science. Over 400 area seventh through twelfth graders presented the results of their original research.
VME had 27 presenters who earned 21 First Awards and 6 Second Awards. In addition, there was one perfect score which resulted in a $150 Director's Award.
Three other students were awarded $50 cash prizes, while 4 additional students were presented Special Awards consisting of PJAS bags.

Students who earned a First Award are invited to present their projects at the State Meet of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science at Penn State in State College May 13-15. Students who earned a Second Award are invited to attend the State Meet as technicians.
A special thanks goes out to our 7th graders who acted as technicians at the meet: Sarah Al-Mandhrey, Alliyah Lucas, and Erick Stewart.
