Scrip Program

Scrip is a rebate gift card program that has been at VME for several years. Parents have an opportunity to purchase and order cards each week. There is a form that comes home with the students in the Thursday envelope. Orders are taken on Monday and cards are returned to you on Thursday. Many local business cards are available daily. Gift cards can be used on a regular basis to buy groceries and gasoline, or when you need a special gift. The variety of businesses who are involved with the program is endless. Call the school for a complete listing. In the near future we hope to have this information right here on our website. And also additional order forms. Your extended family are also invited to participate. Last year VME received approx. $4,000 back from our Scrip Program.

Purchasing gift cards, such as Giant Eagle, Macy’s, Olive Garden, and many others help you raise money for your school and earn a refund. The procedure is simple. For every card you buy you will receive a back and an additional goes directly to your school. For example, when you buy a $100 Giant Eagle card, a $25 Cinemark card, a $25 Olive Garden card and a $50 Old Navy card (total spent: $200), you and the school just got back $5.88 each. (The total refund comes to you at the end of each school year).

Most of the businesses involved in the program are places each of us frequent on a weekly basis. This is a painless way to make a contribution to your school and get a little bonus back for yourself.
