Villa Maria Elementary School



Villa Maria Elementary School’s Athletic Program provides formative, competitive, and instructional sports as an extension of the academic and spiritual life of our school. All participants will learn the fundamentals of each sport and be given the opportunity to develop strong, healthy, and disciplined minds and bodies. Participants will be taught a sense of good sportsmanship, fair play, and team spirit.


Philosophy Statement


Villa Maria Elementary School is concerned with the development of the entire person - the religious, moral, social, academic, and physical dimensions of our students.  VME believes that participation in athletics is an important part of student development.  Through participation in VME's athletic program, students may develop life-long skills and positive values.  These values include leadership, healthy living habits, self-discipline, integrity, and teamwork.  Our program also teaches our students respect for rules and regulations as well as the ability to participate in all life's events with dignity and grace.


Athletic Department's Role and Responsibility


Villa Maria Elementary School’s Athletic Program is coordinated by the VME Athletic Department. The Athletic Department develops procedures that govern the scope and direction of the athletic programs and student participation in these programs. The Department,  consisting of the school principal, parents and faculty manages and maintains all aspects of the VME Athletic Program.
